I’ve always been passionate about woman’s health and birth in every way, however I wasn’t certain of the role I was meant to serve until the birth of my oldest nephew. At the age of 18, I was my sisters Doula during her 26-hour labor. I fell in love. I was blessed to again be by her side for the birth of her oldest daughter, my niece, and later for boy/girl twins! Each time the yearning to be a part of this journey grew until I could no longer deny my calling. My oldest niece passed suddenly at age 11, leaving our family devastated. It was then, I realized my purpose was not only to nurture and support this calling, but to expand and grow my knowledge to foster relationships and educate others. I became a member of and enrolled in the academy with National Black Doulas Association for my training. Being from a blended family, it’s important to me that I’m able to help anyone in need. For me, the most honorable place one can be a part of is the sacred space of birth. I am forever grateful for this life and all that comes with it. Regardless of where you or your partner are in your journey, I’ll be with you every step of the way while encouraging, empowering and inspiring you to do the same. It’s not my story, it’s yours…I’m simply here for you and yours with a touch of pink. 😊
